Allegro ONYA-2 Single Speed (fixie)
3Ok lets face it. It was bound to happen, so here it is, another single speed! I've stacked on the weight big time, think it is the heaviest I have ever been. I weigh 102 kg! I should be 72! So it's time to get serious. Today is the 16th of October 2020. I am planning to start cycling to work in 2021 so I'll need to get in shape. The Dahon and the Trek are both going up for sale. It will break my heart to get rid of both but I have to be realistic about my life and what I need. I do not need those bike, they are just 'nice to have'. So it is time they were given the flick. I easily have about $1500 worth of bikes there and this one only cost me $300. The seller said they paid close to 1K for it which I find hard to believe, think it would have only been $700-$800 when new. .
So this will be my only bike. It is aluminium so no issues with rust or keeping it outside or locked up at the station / shops /work. Lightweight and theft proof with no quick release parts. I've got a front fork with the right headset measurement tube which will take disc brakes so may look at that down the track, particularly in wet weather. Just need to put on some lights and a bell. I've had enough of spending money on bikes and building them. Getting older and would rather just get fit, not build and then let them collect dust. There's gonna be a big sale on and there will be some very lucky people who will score some bargains soon!

Update 6/11/2020 - All other unwanted bikes sold!
Listed my Trek Portland and also my Dahon Dash on Gumtree and they were popular. Finally sold them both. All I have left now is my Giant Yukon, which I don't think I'd ever get rid of as that thing is bullet proof, might even swap out the front shock forks for rigid ones. My wife has her Brown Jersey Mixty 3-Speed which is an awesome bike and I'm glad we scored that one as the shop has closed down now. Then finally I have this Allegro. I must admit I have never herad of this brand before but upon closer inspection it does look appear to be a quality bike with quality components. I do want to eventually swap out the front fork for a disc brake fork with a mechanical disc brake, but not urgent. Next I need to attach a rack and get 1 single decent waterproof pannier bag. Then also add one of my locks to it.
