This is where I log my rides, distance, how I am progressing etc. It's about time I got realistic about my exercise, losing weight and getting fitter. So below you will find maps and some stats. For a start I will be doing the same routine ride regularly. Mainly to improve my speed, distance, time and average speed.
Kings Langley NSW to Rooty Hill NSW

Cold evening. Hard to get started. Started to ache after the 26km mark. Never stopped. Finished all water in 600ml bottle.Not ridden in months. Have put on 13 kgs since last proper ride.

Rode with Michael. Found the hills abit hard this time. Some tough winds. Wore all lycra including leggings and a fleece (first time for me!). Definately helped with movement and comfort. Wore three layers. Will reduce to two next time.Still gotta get used to the gearing and shifting in time before a hill. Gonna try next ride with SPD-SL cleats and shoes. Already have the pedals on the bike.

Rode with Anton and Michael. Michael left 2/3rds of the way. Did more distance today overall. Time took longer due to distance and also stopping three times. Used road shoes with SPD-SL cleats and pedals. Power transfer much more positive. 1st stop was the turn around point. 2nd was when I fell over due to chain moving off rear sprockets and rubbing on wheel spokes. Went to stop but forgot about the cleats so went down with the bike. 3rd time was when Anton turned off on the return journey to head home so I stopped with him for a chat. Then headed home. Was a good ride today.
